Odor / Tear Gas Removal

Odor removal and tear gas cleanup services from MissouriOdors can come from a variety of sources. Urine, feces, blood, body fluids, food, smoke odor, human decomposition odor are just a few. All odors start from the source material (biological materials, bodily fluids, urine, feces) and can penetrate into the flooring material, sub flooring, drywall, insulation, HVAC system, furniture fabrics, plastics, etc.

Traumatic Cleanup is IICRC certified to deal with the most severe of odors; not just treating them but removing them from the source. We understand that removing the source biohazardous material and thoroughly cleaning the surrounding area is the only way to guarantee odor removal.

TCR uses the most modern techniques and only green/earth friendly chemicals to insure the job is done right, leaving behind a safe environment for your family and pets.

tear gas cleanup chemicalsTear gas is used by police agencies for self defense, compliance for arrests, barricaded subjects and crowd control. After it is dispersed, it is almost impossible to remove using general cleaning techniques. There are three types of tear gas:
– CS (chlorobenzyllidenemalononitrile)
– OC/Pepper Spray (oleoresin capsicum) made from peppers and mixed with an oil base.
– CN (chloroacetophenone)

The most common type used is CN or CS they both are designed to be irritants of the mucous membranes in the eyes, nose, mouth and lungs, causing almost instant tearing, sneezing, burning, coughing and drooling. These agents are inflammatory that cause a burning sensation to the affected skin as well.

Because tear gas can be either sprayed from an aerosol can or shot from a firearm, it requires a specialized procedure to remove it. When dispersed it is aerosolized and literally covers everything in a room (furniture/carpet/toys/etc.), it can also be throughout the HVAC system making it almost impossible to breath in a structure not properly cleaned. The professionals at Traumatic Cleanup & Restoration have designed a specific removal technique to safely and effectively remediate the residue both in the air and items left behind after its discharge. We serve Missouri and the surrounding midwestern states such as Illinois and Iowa.
